Episode 9

The Dragon’s Den. This is one show I really enjoy watching. Most things I watch, I watch to tune out. This one I watch to tune in. There is a great learning opportunity here for anyone what is interested in starting a business.

Take Mike (I think that was his name he is the water guy) of Labrecque Enterprises. He was pitching his fresh spring water. He owned the land and the spring and wanted Dragon money to get started. Robert gave him some wise words basically telling him to jump in and make some calls. Sell the lease rights and make off like a bandit. Mike did not take it that way. He got defensive and after the show commented that the Dragon’s judgment had closed their minds. I say Mike, shake it off and take the advice of a proven multi millionaire. Call coke!

Vacancy signs for garbage bins. Was this guy for real? This guy clearly did not think it through. Doesn’t he have any friends?

The Waterkid Baby Carrier. I understood the trepidation with this product. Do parents really take these risks with their children? I will have to ask around about that one. I also liked the snow shovel and I wonder how long it will take for it to hit the market. No doubt large manufactures watch and listen.

In the end I got online and voted for the Cereal bar guy. If he wins he can spend the 50 grand researching ways to bring his costs down!
